Mac and iMac OS Software and Support

How can I determine what version of Mac OS I have?
With the Finder active (click once on the icon at far right of the menu bar and select "Finder") click on the Apple Menu and select "About this Computer."
A window will appear with vital information about your system, including Mac OS version, machine type/name, memory currently installed, and what applications are running.
How to manually initiate or terminate a connection to the internet using Mac OS 8 and later
  1. On the control strip at the bottom of your screen, click on the Remote Access icon.
  2. Click on "Connect"
  3. Disconnecting is the exact procedure. Just select "Disconnect" instead.
