Florida Digital Turnpike — Dual Modems

Dual Modem Access

The ability to bind two modems together as one (multilink) is now available. With this new technology, you are no longer limited to a single modem connection. With two modems you will be able to bind them as one and possibly connect as high as 115200 BPS and, in ideal conditions, achieve a download speed in excess of 10KBS.

Windows 98

This version of Windows has the multilink ability built into it. No additional software is needed to bind the modems together. You can access these features from within Dial Up Networking.

Windows 95 with DUN 1.3

The Dial-Up Networking (DUN) upgrade 1.3 provides support for multilink connections that were not previously available. Once the upgrade is installed, it includes all of the software necessary to bind two modems as one.

Macintosh

There is an add-on product for the Mac, called LinkUPPP Turbo 3.0 You can find information about this at: http://www.fcr.com. This product allows you to use your printer port on your Mac to attach a second modem to your system. The program supplies the protocol to bind two modems as one and increase your connection speed.

Pricing

We are now taking orders for Dual Line connections. Pricing is just $34.95 per month, with a one time $10 setup fee. To subscribe to this service, you can call our Support Department at (888)338-9906.
